This policy covers the BidStaff website (bidstaff.io), the BidStaff app and the BidStaff browser extension for Chrome and Firefox. BidStaff is operated by Leadslancer. BidStaff is an independent product. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Upwork, Freelancer.com, PeoplePerHour, DesignCrowd or Google.

What the extension does

The extension helps you check job fit and write proposals and invitation replies on freelance marketplaces. It works only on the page you have open, and only after you open the BidStaff panel and press a button. It never clicks, types, submits, applies or messages on any website for you. You always paste and send your own proposal.

Data the extension handles

• Login details. The username and password you type into the BidStaff panel are sent once to your BidStaff site to sign you in. The extension does not keep your password. It keeps a login token, your BidStaff site address and your name.
• Page content you choose to read. When you press a button such as “Check this job”, “Write proposal”, “Invite reply”, “Read this profile” or “Read this proposal”, the extension reads the text of the page you have open (job title and description, budget, client details shown on the page, invitation message, or your own profile or proposal text) and sends it to your BidStaff site. Nothing is read in the background or on pages you did not open the panel on.
• Settings on your computer. The extension keeps your login token, chosen profile and a short-lived cache in the browser’s local extension storage on your device.

The extension does not collect browsing history, passwords for other websites, payment card details, health data, location, keystrokes or mouse activity. It does not use cookies or trackers. It loads no remote code and no remote fonts.

How we use the data

We use the data only to provide the features you asked for: scoring a job against your profile, writing a proposal or reply in your tone, saving the application to your tracking list, and adding your profiles, samples and winning proposals to your library. Job and proposal text is processed by the AI model providers we use to generate the result, and only for that request.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or credit decisions, and we do not transfer it to third parties except the service providers needed to run BidStaff (hosting and AI processing) or when the law requires it. Our use of information received from browser APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Marketplace rules

BidStaff is designed to respect marketplace terms. It reads only what is on a page you opened yourself, only on your request, and only for your own use. It does not crawl, bulk-collect or republish marketplace data, does not run in the background, does not automate actions and does not ask for or store your marketplace passwords. You remain responsible for following the terms of each marketplace you use.

Storage and security

Data is sent over HTTPS to your BidStaff site. Account data is stored on our servers and is separated per account. Only your account, and the team members you add, can see it.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete saved profiles, samples, proposals and tracking entries inside the app. To delete your account and its data, contact us through the Support page. Logging out in the extension, or removing the extension, deletes the token and settings stored on your device.

Website visitors

If you only visit bidstaff.io, WordPress sets cookies needed for login and for comments, and we may keep server logs for security. Comments you submit are stored with your name and email.

Children

BidStaff is for business use and is not directed to children under 18.

Changes

If we change what the extension collects, we will update this page and the “last updated” date.
